Did you know that one way to curb the mid-afternoon munchies is to think about what you ate for lunch? According to Good Housekeeping, there was a study conducted among 47 women. They fed each woman lunch, and 3 hours later asked them to write about either their lunch, or their morning commute. Those who wrote about lunch consumed 1/3 less calories later in the afternoon. Apparently, thinking of your lunch trigger's your body's natural "I'm satisfied" signal so you will eat less. Who knew?
Thanks to Good Housekeeping(December 2008) for this information.
