Truffles

I got this recipe out of my Kraft Foods cookbook I got in the mail. They are messy to work with, but yummy and easy!

20 squares Baker's brand semi-sweet chocolate (2 1/2 pkgs)
8 oz cream cheese

Melt 1 pkg of chocolate. Cream with blender the cream cheese until smooth. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Chill until firm. Shape into small balls and place onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill a while longer, until firm.

Melt remaining chocolate. Using spoon, dip truffles into melted chocolate and replace onto paper. Top with garnishes as desired. (I used crushed peppermint candies and sprinkles. You can also use powdered sugar, nuts, or edible beads). Allow chocolate to harden.

These are really yummy!!

That's the same recipe I have! I'm glad they turned out good... I haven't made them yet, cause they just seem a little messy. But I do plan to make them and give them as gifts!

They definitely are messy. Even after letting the batter chill for an hour, I still had chocolate all over me. They tend to warm up as soon as you touch them :-) But they are still yummy.
